PROBUS is an international group of retired and semi-retired men and women who enjoy keeping mentally, physically and socially active by participating in a variety of activities.

The PROBUS By the Bay Club meets monthly to listen to speakers on various topics of interest and to sign up for as many interest groups and social outings as they like.

As with all PROBUS groups, they are non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit and non-fundraising. We are a healthy, strong organization due to the careful planning and sound foundation established by the first management team, but it is the members who shape the direction of the club through their advice and participation. 

The inaugural meeting of PROBUS by the Bay was in 1997 and our birthday is celebrated in June each year.
