What is PROBUSPROBUS is an international group of retired and semi-retired men and women who enjoy keeping mentally, physically and socially active by participating in a variety of activities. Local clubs meet at nearby locations all around the world and in this way get connected and active for friendship and fun. The word PROBUS is an abbreviation of the words PROfessional and BUSiness, but membership is not restricted to these two groups. As with all PROBUS groups, they are non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit and non-fundraising. There is an elected Management Team who keeps things organized but it is the members who shape the direction of the club through their advice and participation. The PROBUS by the Bay Club meets monthly to listen to speakers on various topics of interest and to sign up for as many interest groups and social outings as they like. |
