Annual Summer Picnic 2026

Wed, June 24, 2026, 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM

Collingwood Leisure Time Club

COST:  $27 including tax, maximum 120 participants, non-refundable.  A wait list will be provided.  Cut off for registration is June 12, 2026.

THEME: Oh Canada.  Wear your Canada Day attire.  A prize will be awarded for the best Canada Day hat.  

The picnic will include finger sandwiches, fruit, veggies, sweet treats, and lemonade and ice tea.  There will be vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options available.


Paddling on the Beaver River

Wed, July 15, 2026, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Enjoy a fun Outdoor Adventure on the picturesque Beaver River with Free Spirit Tours. They are located in Heathcote, 236720 Grey Country Rd.12.

We will meet at the Metro parking lot at 9am and arrange car pools.
The paddle will be from 10-12 followed by a picnic lunch. 
Cost: $87 (non-refundable) which includes: Guide/ Life Jackets /paddles/ canoes or kayaks. Picnic lunch to follow (included).

Minimum required 15 paddlers

Return to Grace - The Concert of a Lifetime

King’s Wharf Theatre, 97 Jury Drive, Penetanguishene, Ontario

Car pooling from Metro Parking Lot at 10:45 a.m.

Bring a Picnic Lunch

COST: $57.00 is based on selling a minimum of 25 tickets.

Registration opens May 15 with July 15 cut-off. Refunds will be available if the event is cancelled due to insufficient interest. A waitlist will be created if all 35 tickets are sold.

St Jacobs Market and Lunch

Thu, October 08, 2026, 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM

A minimum registration of 35 people is required.

Registration opens June 10

Cost: $123

A casual Fall outing to St. Jacobs, the largest year round outdoor market in Canada.

First stop: The Farmers  Market. We  suggest  bringing a small cooler or bag for purchases. Flat surfaces sidewalks or paths at the market - minimal walking.  

The bus will pick us up from the market  and transport us to the local Anna Mae's Bakery and Restaurant for lunch. 

After lunch the bus will drop us off in the village for a couple of hours to browse the delightful village of St Jacobs.

We will be home approx. 6:30pm at the Metro parking lot.

Our guest speaker in June is Paul de van der Schueren, who will share his experiences about bee keeping, which “is not what it used to be”.

What is PROBUS?

The goal of the PROBUS organization is to provide FellowshipFriendship, and Fun for all men and women in their retirement and semi-retirement years.

PROBUS is an international group of retired and semi-retired men and women who enjoy keeping mentally, physically and socially active by participating in a variety of activities.  Local clubs meet at nearby locations all around the world and in this way get connected and active for friendship and fun.

PROBUS By the Bay, a club for women, meets monthly to socialize, to listen to speakers on various topics of interest and to learn about the many interest groups and social outings available to members.

Membership is open to retired and semi-retired women who have their primary residence in the Georgian Triangle and who are are interested in maintaining a fun and social network.

Annual Membership fee:  $60

One-time initiation fee:  $20

Our membership is capped at 350 members.
